The team is looking to hire a developer that can work across various Backoffice Reconciliation projects to achieve an aggressive roadmap. The candidate will function as hands-on developer with involvement in architecture design and development of various projectsThe candidate will function as hands-on Java developer with involvement in architecture design and development of a suite of applications using Java/J2EE REACT/Angular and related technologies. As a member of an agile team the candidate will work directly with internal clients and product owners to analyze requirements and implement them. The ideal candidate is T-shaped or full stack developerThe Core Operations Technology team is part of the Operations Technology group and is responsible for several applications including reconciliation fee billing corporate actions and loan operations. Members of the group often get the opportunity to work on different projects and technologies as required.Responsibilities:The day-to-day activities of the role will encompass the full project lifecycle including:Serve as a member of a Scrum development team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including but not limited to sprint planning complexity analysis standups and sprint retrospectives.Design analyze code test and deploy applications to satisfy business requirements for large complex projects.Adhere to firm-wide architecture standards risk management and security policies.Translate functional specifications into technical specifications and runbooks in support of application builds.Assist with efforts to migrate applications to new cloud-based environmentCommunicate timely build status on development items to management team as well as raise/work to resolve issues impacting development.Provide application support as part of DevOps teamCollaborate with team and come up with solutions for any identified problem by teamWork with the business end users to understand requirements and come up with a solution within the teamAnalyzing and documenting problems recommending solutions and initiating corrective actionResearch and prototype new technologies as appropriate.Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit testing documentation and maintenance as appropriatePerforming additional developer duties as required7 years of experience with related technologies and software development life cycle (SDLC)Strong Java/J2EE programming skillsStrong experience with messaging (e.g. MQ)Knowledge of standard build and deployment tools such as Jenkins Maven Git/Stash and JiraExperience with database development and design including experience with Oracle and/or SybaseDemonstrated experience with OO design patterns/frameworks including application integration frameworksAbility to multi-task and engage productively on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to balance application development and application support needsGood communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences that include peers partners and senior IT and Business managementDeep understanding of ORACLE SQL and related development under ORACLEHands on experience working with ksh and the Unix/Linux environmentShould be dependable results oriented and possess excellent communicational skillsDesirable (but not essential):Experience in Agile Scrum Methodology for Software developmentDevelopment Experience with XML and RESTful services desirableExperience in AngularJS/REACT and/or Cloud Foundry a plusPerson Specification: Capable of working with minimum supervision Strong communication skills Self-starter Motivated.
