• The new AT&T advertising technology business is on a unique mission through the launch of its newest business Xandr. This organization born as recently as August 2018 & built on a foundation of 140 years of AT&T excellence and multiple acquisitions of top assets and people, is driving the advertising industry forward by creating new options for advertisers and publishers to find and reach specific audiences at scale in trusted, premium content environment. • Xandr is looking for talented and passionate software engineers to join its Web Services Platform team to build large scale, high impact systems on which our advertising business operates
• Roles and Responsibilities:, Individual Responsibilites: Deploy, Operate and Monitor high volume server side applications Triage production issues and develop fixes Perform root cause analysis for issues Replace manual processes with automated scripts and tools Create internal tools and contribute to an internal web service framework Break down a monolith into smaller web-services Be on call for multiple applications Ensure timely upgrades of libraries and infrastructre components Procatively look for ways to improve the platform infrastructre Time will be split between operational support and improving the qualtiy and efficiency of the platform. Shift Timings: 1PM-10PM,Key Competencies and Skills:,Required Experience: Linux, Apache Web Server, MySQL and PHP (LAMP Stack development) Bash scripting and command line utilities Datastructures and Algorithms Object Oriented Software design principles Database schema design and SQL PHP development Additional Optional Experience: Docker kubernetes Jenkins Build System Configuration Mangement using Puppet/Chef/Ansible Metrics using Promethus or Graphite Queuing systems: RabbitMQ and Kafka Caching systems: Redis, Memcached Java or Go development,Education and Qualifications:, BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering 4 years of experince building large scale distributed systems,Additional Information:,Work Hours 1:00pm to 10:00pm IST. Majority of the Web Services Platform team is located in New York and Portland, Oregon. A few hours of overlap in work hours is needed to conduct meetings
